A true student of her craft, Dr Joey is a registered Chinese Medicine practitioner, acupunturist and PhD Candidate whose research is exploring the effects of acupunture for weight management.

Dr. Joey is accredited by the Chinese Medicine Board of Australia (CMBA), and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as well as being a member of the Federation of Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture Societies of Australia (FCMA).
She graduated from RMIT University with a double degree in Health Science and Chinese Medicine (Distinction) and enhanced her clinical experience through the hospital internship in the well known Jiangsu Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China. She is currently doing her PhD at RMIT University, and her research focuses on investigating the effects of acupuncture for weight management.
As a mother of a primary school boy, Joey is a caring, patient and professional practitioner treating a wide range of health issues. She has a strong interest in women's health (menstruation problems, infertility and menopause), weight management (weight loss and weight maintenance), pain management and skin conditions.
